Cleaning and Grooming for Your Dog or Cat

As part of Alta Pet Center's ongoing concern for the humane, stress-free treatment of all pets, your dog or cat will be groomed and bathed in a clean, sanitary, and pleasant atmosphere.

Your pet will enjoy a natural, pH-balanced shampoo that is made just for pet skin and hair. It's safe for eyes, ears, and sensitive body parts.

Your pet can expect high-quality care throughout the bath.

• Brushing, bathing, and drying in safety and comfort
• Nail trimming and filing as needed, with special attention to dew claws
• Gentle ear checking and cleaning; cotton will be used to protect inner ears from water
• Anal gland checking and expressing if you request it

Bath Extras Help Us Make a Difference

For a small additional charge, you can request a number of bath extras.

• Teeth brushing
• Blueberry facials
• Conditioning treatments
• Flea treatments
• Application of veterinary-supplied shampoos

Please note that any vet-supplied shampoos should be accompanied by the written instructions so we can ensure the proper application.

At the end of the bath, every pet receives a bandana or bow and a spritz of cologne. Please let us know if you do not want your pet to receive these free extras.

Drying Techniques Determined by Coat Type

When it comes to drying your pet, we follow strict safety standards and customize our approach for your pet's comfort. Thick, double coats are dried with HurryCanine dryers to remove the undercoat and reduce shedding, while curly and soft coats will be hand fluffed and dried.

We do not use heated cage dryers.

Because the coat type often determines the drying techniques our professionals use, we're trained in four basic approaches and will decide which to use to produce the best results.
